I am feeling strangely grateful.
On our way to Asian Fest in downtown Cleveland a deer sprung in front of our brand new RRS ATB near I-77 and Harvard. I braked hard and then it hit the bumper and deflected up to the top of the windshield about 5 inches from the roof and then bounced over. The windshield (heated) is heavily spider cracked and glass dust showered the top of the dash but my wife and I are completely fine.
If the deer had landed a few inches lower it might have come right through the windshield and killed us.
My wife, who had previously been complaining that the vehicle was too high to climb in and out of, is convinced it saved our lives and promised to no longer complain.
The truck (just got clear bra and opticoat a week ago. sigh) can be fixed. We are okay.
