Has anyone came up with a way to restore, rather than replace, the lettering on the front and rear?

I don't think the aftermarket ones on ebay, etc. will hold up. Any thoughts. Thanks

Not sure the MkIII are old enough to need restoration of the lettering. Is yours faded or cracked or something?

Yes, it's an 05. The word RANGE on the front, and the ROVER on the rear are faded chipped etc. It spent all it's life in Arizona, so that may have something to do with it. Just had it shipped to MI. this weekend. It is replacing my wife's 08 Sport, as the lease is up in May.

I would just pick up a new set or go badgeless. You will waste way more time than the little bit of money to have new ones in place. It's also a good chance to have you gate and hood lip polished out before putting the new lettering on. :thumb:

Mine all peeled up exactly like the door handles... I'm going to just repaint them I think. I repainted the door handles and they've been great all winter. :thumb:

I bought a new set of letters for the rear hatch from ebay and havent had a problem - simple to apply. have had for 2 years after the first didnt get along with the car wash....

Thanks for the input. Got a set coming from xtreme rovers. I am fitting 06-09 wheels also. This is a great site, looking forward to being a part of it.
