Anyone know if it is possible to replace a 2007 RR 4.2SC with a 2009 Jaguar XF 4.2SC. If so, what are the differences as far as components?

No, the Land Rover version of the engine was highly modified to better suite the needs of a Range Rover ie. better oil sump system for extreme angles.

I think you will find it was the first gen M62 engine that had the modified sump and oil pickup.

The AJ33S became the AJ34S for Jag XF 2008-2010. The variant of the AJ33S that Land Rover used from 2006-2009, US production years, is not the same as the Jag version or the 2009 AJ34S.
