Just a thought. My p38 does not have a sunroof and I am toying with the idea of retro fitting one.
Complete sunroof cassettes come up relatively cheap on Ebay from time to time.
Is it simply a case of cutting a hole in the roof or is the roof panel pressing different for factory fitted sunroofs ?
Anyone done it or know what is involved ?

You are a braver man than i am.

i doubt you can simply cut a hole and add a sunroof. the edges are formed and would be strenghened.

Is it that hot in Chester or do you like to star gaze whilst driving?

Sounds like a tremendous PITA. Are you wanting an "original" style sunroof? I mean you could probably have an aftermarket pop-up/pop/out manual sunroof put in fairly cheap, but it would be just that, fairly cheap.

I'd just wait until this Rover dies and make sure your next one has a sunroof! `)
