I'd say it's in line on a trade deal.
Did you expect to lose less or something?
Of course, you could try looking it up yourself, as well as look over classified advertisements from dealers, Ebay, and so on.
Trade deals are just that though, trade. You can find retail numbers, but you aren't going to find a JLR dealer in your area, telling you the max trade in they'd give.
You're either happy with it or not.

What the heck is up with all the attitude from the administrators?
Anyway, I think that trade-in value is in line in my opinion, I went car shopping a week ago due to the numerous issues on my 2016 and the local dealers on trade were offering $67 - $69K. Mine is a 2016 V8 dynamic loaded wth 22" wheels, 20K miles. I decided to not sell/trade because all of the vehicles I drove were missing something (cargo room, performance, comfort) in comparison to my range rover sport.

Trying to answer questions that cannot be answered will normally do it.
Resale, especially on trade, values are so dependent on location, vehicle being traded against, market in that area, and so on, it is a question that cant accurately be answered on an international forum.
KBB etc would be the only option, and that needs the OP to do it themselves, not a member from here.
This has always been a forum where members help themselves first by using the available resources, then ask for help.
Unfortunately there is a lot of folks who want the answers without doing the minimal amount of work themselves as of late, and it does tick us off at times.
I wouldn't call it attitude, I'd call it trying to keep a forum true to it's roots and enjoyable for everyone.

As a data point I traded my 2016 HSE TDI for $65k two months ago, had no options,... dealer resold it for $68,500. Msrp was mid 70s

I'd say that is average for a 2015. JLR dealerships will always low-ball you on the trade in my experience. You could probably get $67K if you pushed.
