Trez - different part of the US (East Coast vice West Coast) and different time (5months ago) but a change in my employment situation made me consider trading my 2014 RRS HSE (one year old at the time with just under 12k mileage) back to the Annapolis JLR dealer and they offered me what I paid for it, less $2k (and state taxes of course).Any ideas what the resale value for my car might be? Considering other options:
2014.5 V8 Dynamic Package, with 10K miles, Tow package, Upgraded Stereo (850W). Excellent Condition...

No way. They drop 50% after 3 years, not 1.
About half what you paid for it I would think. Assuming things are the same over there as they are here, the maximum depreciation happens in the first year.
I dropped mine off this morning for TPMS issue and asked my sales guy. He said no less than 90% of MSRP. Could be as much as 95% depending on options and miles. The L494's are still very rare here in NJ. My dealer only has RRSs that were ordered by customers, i.e. all are spoken-for. Online, I see used 2014's being sold by dealers for almost the same price as a new 2015.
I think you will lose less than 10% trading to a dealer. If you sell private, then I think you could be close to breaking even (w/o tax&title).
Wow! Amazing! Good work.My 2012 still had great value at trade (and also NADA/KBB) as of March 2015.
It stickered at 63K...I paid 59K in Nov 2011, and had a trade value of 46K in March of 15.
I'll take that any day.
