I ordered the key in late January and it arrived yesterday. I followed the instructions and programmed my new key. After getting my new cut ($50) I dissemabled my old key and removed the transponder (tiny black box) and glued in the designated space in my new key. Excellent upgrade for my key. Plus cheaper than the dealer.

I bought the key in mid February and it arrived March ad the key cut for $35 and inserted the transponder from the old key.

Works great.

My 2 1/2 ear old Kenyan from the dealer for $300 is almost worn through the rubber buttons. Why does Land Rover have such a tough time with all things rubber? For example, the rubberized paint on the interior is alll failing.

Thanks for the great thread! Did you add the Land Rover Logo? I'm going to try this fob key setup for my awesome 2006 L322 HSE.

It's been awhile since anyone's jumped on this thread about this upgrade...

I just made myself 2 extra keys this morning. I had 1 key that was getting wore out so I needed spares before it was too late. I now have 3 keys that work.
