Hi All,

I've been working on my 2003 RR L322.

I'm in dire straits. Trying to change the Inhibitor Switch today. Rust on all bolts and nuts including center nut that mounts the gear change cable to selector shaft. This nut also holds protective plate over switch. Tried to remove the nut off selector shaft but tip of shaft broke off with nut. The cable is still connected/rusted onto selector shaft. What solutions are there? Will I need to disassemble the transmission to replace the selector shaft?

This simple job has gone sideways...

I can't find parts for the selector shaft. I took a look at my dealer's online parts catalog and they only offer the entire transmission (part: TGD000150) for close to $8 thousand!!

Needless to say - HELP... please?
