I need to swap my front seat belts.
Before I dig deep into RAVE,
has anyone does it recently??
Do I need to remove the seats? Is it just removing the B-pillar plastic trim and fiddling with some bolts?

It amazes me how a long term member with RAVE would post something like that without looking first. I am just thinking that it took you longer to post than it would have to looked up the procedure in RAVE. It definately took longer to wait for a responce than it would have taken to complete the entire job even with coffee and lunch break and tossing the ball for the dog.

If I had ever done this job I would have been happy to say yea or nea on seat removel and offer up any tips. If I were in your position I certainly would look before posting and getting all huffy at whatever responce was returned.

Does it pass through your small mind that perhaps with todays technology I was posting hours away from my home computer which is able to read my RAVE disk. PErhaps in order for me to plan tomorrow's day (and if I will have time to work on the truck) I needed to know if the seats need to come out(a lot more time needed)?

Didn't think of that, allmighty one?

I've been part of 3 different car forums for a long time and I will tell you the same thing I tel all the other snoby "use the search function" know it alls like you(and I am not confrontational at all), Do me a favour, unless you are willing to reply to my thread with something that will be either a) helpful to the question at hand, or b) the answer I need, just save us both the aggravation and don't reply.

You can start as of now.

Believe me, it's not me, there are many others whose replies include "search, search, search".
Also, I am a BMW guy,The forums I belon to are BMW, I pretty much know all there is to know, and when I don't, I have 2 people who are a call away for any disassembly I need.

Bottom line is, and I don't want to pick fights or be harsh, if you are gonna tell someone to search, just keep your mouth shut.

FOR ANYONE who wanted to know, according to RAVE(if I am reading it correctly), it doesn't seem necessary to remove the seats.

Wow, HOURS away from home and you suddenly out of nowhere decided to remove your seatbelts. Now that is a true get er done attitude. :thumb: I bow to your dedication and planning abilities.

:thumb: Never underestimate a person with a super busy schedule who relies on his friend who has a garage to work on his truck, you gotta plan, just sayin'.

Hi

Indeed relax. You do not have to remove the seats. Just remove the plastic, one bolt at the bottom and one nut at the top and your seatbelt can come out.

Regards
