so just bought another P38, and have retired my old one as a parts mule.

RF door will not open from inside handle or outside handle.

I assume I need to remove the door panel to get access to the latch to release.

or maybe there is a way to trigger the latch via the window slot ?

the inside handle IS pulling on the cable, but can't see much past that.

99% sure the lock is broken inside and you wont be able to unlock it from inside the door either...

removing the doorcard without ruining it, i'd say...impossible with the door closed..

the way to open the door .... HEREpage 2 the instructions on breaking the door open start

Try the following:
1. From the outside, pry the window molding on the bottom of the window. You will want to tape the door to protect the paint. This will give you space to view inside the cavity near the door latch (Actuator).

2. Using a long flat screwdriver or equivalent, locate the arm that extends from the door lock actuator. Press down while pulling on the door handle. The door should open.

If your actuator still has that extended part, you should be able to ope the door. I have seen threads that recommend breaking that piece off. Hopefully yours is still there.

Good luck.
