the lock botton on the passenger side door of my friends 2006 Range Rover dropped inside the door when the tow truck company tried using a slim jim to get inside after trhe keys were locked in.. now I am trying to take the door panel off to fix the issue.. I found the torx screws on the door, in the handle, and behind the air bag logo but the panel will not budge.. how do you get these interior door panels off?
thanks

thanks for the reply- that helped- do you know much about the lock button arm or mechanism? it's behind the matting inside the door and I'm wondering if I should tackle it or if some special tools are needed once inside the door?

the best way is to unscrew the door airbag, then carefully peel the matting off, then you can easily reach the lock, the button fastens onto the lock mechanism with a green clip, this will either be loose or broken

Remember to disconnect the battery first or you'll have the airbag light on which can only be shut by the dealer!
