Hey guys,
Looking to make a big move, swap from years and years of being a dedicated Mercedes owner and getting into an L494 RRS. I've been looking for a decent CPO RRS in the $50-$60k range, but I'm set on a 2015 (or 14) Supercharged 5.0L with Dynamic Package, so it is VERY slim pickings. And the few that i found that fit the bill were all black, which i can't do being as OCD as i am.
I am wondering, how problematic have these trucks really been? Are they really that devastating to repair on your own? Im coming from an E55 AMG that i did most of the work on myself, transmission service (oil and filter), valve cover gaskets, some sensors, brakes, controls arms, etc. I am definitely not afraid to do the work, but its the electrical gremlins where i hit the wall.
Am i crazy for thinking of buying one without CPO or extended warranty? And if i can't find CPO, is the extended warranty worth it considering the $100 deductible?
