Hi All,

What with the hot weather starting to bite, I must replace the RH recirculation flap motor. (the LH is fine).

When both flaps are closed, the a/c is noticeably cooler.

Now, I have the spare recirc. motor, another fan to fit whilst I'm there, but last night I had a brainwave (wait for it - quiet at the back!).

What if I cover the RH cabin filter with tin foil to block the hot air coming in?

So, scenario is:

  • LH flap closed
  • RH flap open, but BOTH cabin filters effectively blocked.

What would be the result of this?

Would hot air still be sucked in through the plenum drains?
