the passenger side rear seat release has broken and I can't fold the seat down. Is there a way to release manually? anybody know where to get the replacement parts? Thank you in advance for your response

Depends on what broke. Has the latch failed? Did the release break off? Is it just jambed?

the handle is still there but does nothing ...you can move it back and forth but nothing happens ... thank you

Does the seat back fail to release completely from the upper catch - this is at the forward edge of the shelf which the folding cargo cover rests on - by the rear door surround, thereby remaining vertical or does the seat back fold slightly forward (off the vertical catch) but not fold down all the way forward?

If the backrest latch is "stuck" or not releasing you can manually release the catch itself.

Grab a flat bladed screwdriver.

Laying in the cargo area, facing the stuck seat back you should see the latch (attached to the seat) surrounding a hoop attached to the car body at the front edge of the cargo shelf near the rear door.

At the upper corner close on the seat side of the catch you should be able to take the flat bladed screwdriver and raise the tab which positively locks the catch when closed.

You will need to raise it about 10mm or 3/8 inch to release the lock.
