rangerover 3.5 lpg problem ?

hi all ive been offerd a e reg rangerover 3.5 auto with a lpg conversion the engine runs sweet on petrol but as soon as i change over to gas the engine stalls as if i turned the ignition off but assume the gas isnt gettint throught
the guy sais it will sometimes run perfect on gas and is intermitant
seems like a genuin guy and only wants £450 for it with 10 mth mot .
has any one any thaughts on this problem as ive never had anything to do with lpg running

Cost me £80 to sort this out on a Mitzi. It will be one of the three LPG solenoid valves. Usually there is one on the engine, one underneath and the last is on the tank. Some only have two, tank and engine. If you have some gas fitting know how it is ajob you can do yourself with care. Not sure if you could do the tank one though.

just braught it for £400 and within 1 hr found a dodgy conector and now runs perfect on lpg ang petrol . ime 1 hapy bloke now

Was it on a solenoid?

ya one near the evaporator there was 2 lose and one just not contacting and so far has done about 40 miles to get it home and been fine
kept changing over on the drive home and every time it went aok hopefully that was all that was causing it to cut out as would of thaught it would be all
