Hello together

I have a Rang Rover Sport Hybrid 3.0 Diesel Autobiographie 2015 l494.
3 weeks ago I stopped, the battery was low and I could not drive anymore. It was taken to a garage. A new battery was fitted (not the hybrid battery).
Then I went on holiday and the car stopped again after 200 km.
It was taken to a garage again and I was told it was the hybrid battery.
I searched the forum a lot, talked to specialists and they told me that it is NOT the hybrid battery.

There is NO battery charging. If the hybrid battery was defective, I could drive the diesel. But the main battery is not charged again. This sounds more like alternator problems. If the battery is charged, I can drive 200 km until the battery is empty, and then nothing works on the car.

I have this error message:
P0A1F-49 Battery control module - internal electronic error.

P0AF9-00 Hybrid/electric vehicle battery system unstable voltage - no subtype information.

P0B53-00 Intermittent/irregular hybrid battery voltage detection circuit E - No information on subtype

P0C47-31 Hybrid/electric vehicle battery pack - coolant pump - open circuit

P0C47-39 Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Battery Pack - Coolant Pump - Open Circuit
Land Rover UK said that such a hybrid battery costs 40000 Euro and that the supplier is bankrupt and you don't know if you will get the battery this year or next year at all.

I need your advice because I need the Range Rover back urgently.

I have the same problem as you did now.
In Greece the cost for hybrid battery is 38.333 €.
What did you do finally ?

My RR Sport L494 failed in July 21. UK dealer has had for some 4 months, and cannot tell me when they can supply! The car requires a full hybrid battery, it will not run/function without an operating battery. Possibly just a failed cell ?? However I have found a source and compliant installer 🤞 should anyone be interested. Battery and fitting circa £7k. Opposed to Land Rover UK £19500k 😡

i would be very interested to know. Could you please forward details. In Greece there is a Hybrid repair center up north which do the repair of Hybrid batteries with cost 3.500€.
My Range Sport diesel Hybrid 2015 already there waiting to be repaired , hope the result will be correct. to be on safe side please send details of compliant battery dealer.

i would be very interested to know. Could you please forward details. In Greece there is a Hybrid repair center up north which do the repair of Hybrid batteries with cost 3.500€.

Hi, Will check that it OK to send my repairers details. 3500 Euro sounds OK, compared to where Iam at 😡

We both crying but ok, yours are New mine will be repaired ! I will know results of repair after a while, when i will receive it they will work but for so long ?
Please ask and if they agree please forward details. Thank you ! Hope both cars will have no problem for long time !! :)

Yes, feel very angry. I asked when I bought the car who is responsible for the battery? Was told that was Landrovers responsibility. After all why would anyone buy this car if there was a limited warranty. I should have read the terms, to trusting! The people who say they can supply a replacement battery, are based in Essex UK. Small outfit but seem knowledgeable. You would need to have your car taken there, which is not plausible. I will ask if they can arrange a battery, and we can go from there 🤔 Good luck

Good day all - I am following this conversation with some degree of concern. I am new to RR. I bought a 2015 RR L494 Hybrid end of December 2021 - after a week we went to Norway for 2 weeks. Driving from Voss to Geilo with icy roads and minus 10 the car showed a large number of failures (ABS, Break Reinforcements, Stability) - the driving options were limited to Auto, no other off-road of anything. Pretty scary when driving on challenging conditions. Car was towed away - warnings disappeared after the 12v battery was disconnected an whole night. Nevertheless they came back after 2 days. Did not stop till I was back in Germany and in Holland again. Seems the cold got to it (??) How is this possible with such a car? RR is now for inspection at the dealer. I am pretty concerned the hybrid battery is failing, understand the costs are pretty high (in the thousands of euros). I still have 5 months warranty so I want to make the case to replace both batteries since it seems this is THE common problem for this model. Any thoughts or experiences?
