Hi, I've got a big problem with my range rover sport 3.6tdv8 from 2010, I hope there's someone who can help me
The problem is that everything in the car has got a periodic shutdown that comes best as you are driving, suddenly Everything shuts down, engine, all lights and dashboards, very uncomfortable to drive in a turn and the car goes out, it should be said that it only shuts off for about 1 second.
There has been change alternator and all the voltage should be ok.
Hope someone has an idea of what it can be.

This is a US site and the L320 diesels were never sold there.

You would be better off checking here http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/

However as you have said you replaced the alternator - why? If a simple failure, when the alternator fails it can create a direct short from the battery to earth so killing the battery (or at least damaging it). so double check the battery. Also with a failed alternator you can get the symptoms you mentioned - are you sure your new alternator is working correctly?

Have you had your codes read? This will give you a clue or the actual answer on what the problem is. The car records faults so get the codes read an all should be clear.
