My electrical switch is not working, how is the emergency pull cord accessed? No mention in the manual.

If you have one fitted, and not all P38s do, then you remove the service cover on the inside trim next to the RH tail light and feel about. I have a feeling this is a later addition, from MY XX on, but not sure. I know I have never found one on my 95, 96 or 97.

I have got one on my 2000my. Must have been included as part of the '99 upgrade I guess.

I forgot to say I modded my '95 P38A to add one after I found out about them.

Same over here, added one on my 98. The later ones seems to have them factory fitted. Usually recognizable by a fuel filler icon on the rear light cover.

You can bust the door open with a screwdriver, and if you can be bothered replacing the solenoid there is a plastic replacement part to fix the latch. Otherwise unbolt the fuel flap door and throw it away.

The botton in the switch stays pressed in, probably also from lack of use.
