hi thanks for view my post hope somebody can help :)

i bought my l322 2003 td6 and i discovered it was cranking over longer than it should before starting, this gradually got worse but there was no pattern to it,, one time it would not start then another start straight away. once started the car runs perfectly with no problems its only starting that is the issue.

i noticed the wrong battery was on the car so replaced it but this made no difference

i also changed the glow plugs and air filter but once again no difference

the first difference came when i changed the fuel filter the starting improved slightly but was then back to normal within a week

the car is now struggling to start at all or only with easy start

the next change was a new secondary pump that i fitted on saturday (the pump on the side of the tank under the passenger side) but this to has made no difference.

i am now thinking it could be the injectors but surely if the injectors were the issue the car wouldnt run perfectly like it does once its started??

any help would be greatly appreciated :)

I am having the same problem. I also have a problem with my battery dying, so I ordered an FSR that should be here anyday. The problem with my intermittent starts have just begun last week though.

Did you get your problem resolved? if so, what caused this?
