I removed mine using a heat gun without any problem. The residual glue is next. I watched a video by powerfuluk.com and actually purchased the rubber wheel drill attachment they recommend to remove the glue. I tried it and it's a mess. Does anyone know if Goo Gone is safe for the clear coat or if there is another product I can use to safely get the glue off? Thanks.

So nothing is easy with this vehicle. Used the Goo Gone and it did remove the adhesive but it turns out the prior owner must have used something in addition as letters starting getting loose. It's clear, very hard and looks like epoxy or super glue. Car going to the body shop to see what they can do with it. It's too rough for me to just apply over.

If your replacing your letters, I’d try to carefully remove what ever else is on there, mask it all off to protect the paint, maybe something like a dremmel would be better as you’d have more control
