Have a 2002 P38 Borrego Edition (Yellow) with a coil suspension conversion and replaced engine (2010). Cannot seem to turn off the "Service Engine Soon" light no matter what I do- brought to a host of (experience) Range Rover mechanics, oil changes, etc. Same issue with original engine. Seems to turn off on long drives (300+ miles) only to come back on again after a few days. Any other P38's with the same issue? Could it be sensor/computer/electrical? Would like to get to the bottom of the issue for peace of mind/it's annoying and distracting.

What code are your receiving when you scan for errors? THe code you are getting is usually a pretty big hint as to what the issue is.

Do you not have an Oreilly's, NAPA, PepBoys or similar in your area? Seeing and writing down the actual code will do far more than relying on some tech's memory or possibly flawed notes.
