I suddenly have no sound from my 18 RRS. The volume level stays at “4” and is red. Signal coming in fine (can change stations and source etc) and mic for the phone is working but no sound from the speakers. In the audio setting it’s stuck on stereo and won’t let me adjust any of the EQ settings. Thoughts?

i have had the same problem in my 2018 RRS repeatedly. Volume frozen, no sound. Pulled the infotainment fuses 50, 51 in the rear compartment - no joy. Hard reset the system - no joy. Took it to the dealer who updated the software (i was on a 5 hr trip), but no joy. I drive 12 hours a week commuting 5-6 hours one way so it was an absolute pain for the 3 weeks until i could make it to a dealer.

I tried the volume hold for 2 mins or until screen went dark - no joy.

Disconnected the battery and bridged the +ve/-ve leads for 3 mins. Reconnected the battery and instant joy - System back up and working. RR should find a software shortcut for clearing cache and completely resetting the system. There may be one that dealers don't share, not sure.
