I've got a buddy who just bought a 92 County that will only play music through the 2 headliner speakers. I believe it has the ads system, everything is stock. It did play through all speakers for about 10 seconds, then he touched the head unit and it went back to just 2. He's checked all fuses and wiring into the headunit to ensure everything is connected tight. Anyone experience a similar problem? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yes, check the amp in the rear quarter panel. Probably a loose connection. The other thought could be wiring into and in the doors. I would doubt that both would go out at the same time. However, I found my tweeter in the Driver door disconnected and the connection going to the other door speaker very loose.

It sounds like a loose wire, there has to be one that is loose, sounds like it near the headunit.

My head unit is also having issues. It the OE and the WB went out after having to take it out for the heater core replacement. I also have an issue where when jiggling the radio it will fade out of the speakers.

Thanks for the suggestions. He's checked the amp in the back, all the connections are fine. I'm pretty sure its a loose wire to the headunit or the headunit itself, as it just started working randomly, then when he touched the headunit it went back to just the 2 speakers. He said all the connections to the headunit are tight, but I haven't taken a look at it yet. When I get a chance to check it, i'll report back what I find. Thanks.

So it turned out to be a bad ground for the amp. Created a new ground and everything is working perfectly. Thanks for the help!
