For those with adaptive cruise control or blind spot monitor, have you found any interference with radar and laser detection or diffusion (either remotely installed or on windshield)? Also, curious to see any remote installations like the Escort 9500. Thanks.

I never get those adaptive cruise systems, but with the blind spot monitors, I turn off the pop system on my V1.

Escort 9500ix does not work well from within the cabin. Issue is interference from the wire mesh in the windscreen (for front defrost). A custom installation (like a 9500ic) bypasses that by incorporating the radar antenna in the bumpers.

So no interference from acc and bam when using the remote installed units? Maven player, do you have any photos of your installation? Thanks

Interference for me manifests itself as not receiving radar alerts when I know there are specific ones (ones the unit picks up on when I have it in one of my other cars). Hence why a custom install is the only way to go if you want a reliable solution that CAN actually pick up real radar signals around you.

That's interesting... I have had no degradation in performance with the Valentine 1 in any of the Land Rovers I have owned.

I have both blind spot and adaptive cruise control on my 2013 and the range out the front windshieldwith a V1 is horrible. When it goes off it’s too late. I have moved it all overand nothing seems to help.

You guys must have a different windshield than my HSE. It's more likely the sun protection coating, because the wires don't do anything to the sensitivity. I believe there is a spot up at the top of the windshield to right of the mirror that doesn't have the coating. I think it's in the owners manual...

So, does anyone have a custom installed unit in a 2013/14 RR? Do those work noticeably better with the radar antenna installed in the bumper (vs inside the cabin)?

I highly recommend the K40 radar/diffuser system. It is quite pricy but works very well.
Thanks for the recommendation. Do you have one installed in a L405 RR or other car? How is the false signal filtering on the K40? The thing I love about the Escort 9500 is its ability to shut out false signals based on GPS marks. Does the K40 do something similar?
