After looking for two weeks I agreed to purchase a 18 HSE v6 fully loaded CPO with low miles.

On delivery to me the delivery truck caught fire and the vehicle was burnt out.

i found out this morning and have a pending refund from the dealer.

i am now looking at a 2019 V6 HSE CPO and a new V8 Supercharged from the same dealer.

land rover incentives are discounting these around 10-12k on Msrp.

on one hand I have a like new 19 cpo HSE with 6 yrs warranty or for another 10k can get a brand new V8 of similar spec.

what would you do? any advice would be appreciated

I’d get the HSE (6 cylinder supercharged) and pocket the 10k extra (go on vacation, etc). It’s plenty fast as-is and better gas mileage.

I think 10k is a very small price to pay for the extra 100+ HP. I love the v8

Im in the market for a L405 and drove the v6 and v8 back to back. No comparison, the extra 100hp is on my must have list. I will gladly spent the extra money for the kick in the pants.

Side note, Ive found a bunch of 2016 non CPO RR's that should qualify for CPO. Apparently there is an open safety recall for a door latch and parts are on back order until October. LR dealers cant CPO them until the recall is fixed.

YUP V8 is the biggest thing I wanted after my V6, it adds active cornering and towing is effortless. I can get 22-24MPG average highway in my V8 Sport. 26+ even on instant.


The door latch parts are going to customer cars first, then CPO.

I have mine set up for the second. I asked for a full size Disco hopefully I don't get an Ejoke again.
