Pulsing Noise/Multiple Faults - L494 RRS SC Autobiography

Hey Guys,

I picked up my new to me RRS SC last year and have loved it dearly. I ran into what seems to be my first major problem with the vehicle.
I noticed throughout the winter I had a pulsing noise which could be mistaken for tire noise (winters) but it got exponentially worse on a roughly 400km trip yesterday. Today I went for a short drive and the noise was still evident - sounded like a deep pulsating noise coming from in the driveline or towards the rear diff. Was not quite a grinding noise but was getting close.

After about 15 kms the dash lit up with all the faults... I have attached photos for reference but essentially every drive line and brake fault one could get. Any assistance on what this could be? I am somewhat mechanically inclined but new to the LR/RR family.

Just checked the battery and it has a manufactured date of September 2021 - could it have chewed through a battery that quickly? Still doesn't explain the noises I was hearing
This really looks like a brake system issue. Of course it could be everything with these cars, but if you have a brake that is not properly releasing it could both grind and disable all these systems. One way to check is after a drive, if there is heat coming out of one of the wheels, that usually means a brake is stuck on that wheel and is actually grinding.

That was my gut feeling at first and did check for heat, but nothing there even after the longer drive. I did move it last night and even more system faults have appeared leading me to believe its an earthing point/grounding wire issue. Pulling apart the front wheel liners this morning to check - very frustrating
The earth points under the wheelarch liners is a good shout, but I'd also be looking at the error codes to see if an ABS sensor is having a tantrum.

oh for sure - going to pull codes shortly.

however, I did just have one of the earthing points shear off when tightening on the passenger side. Could be my culprit as it was pretty corroded.

Code C0514 - Wheel speed sensor right rear. Ordered the part to fix but have a feeling it is the hub assembly based on the pulsating I am hearing
Age and wear of the tire(s) may be what you are hearing. If a tire fails where the belts separate from the casing it runs with a flat spot. Low speeds not noticeable but once up to 60 mph or more increasingly apparent. You may be able to narrow it down by rotating the tires and see if there's any difference.
Reattached the grounds and still faults. Have a creaking/metallic noise when even just backing into the garage. Have bearings and hub incoming with new abs sensors. Should know more tomorrow when I get it on a lift
Long story short...

Wheel bearing ate itself alive, destroyed the abs sensor in the process

Grounding/Earthing bolt on passenger side front was corroded away and no good

Will post an update (for future reference) once all codes seem to be cleared and we are back on the road

Good to hear that you seem to be getting to the bottom of it, even though it doesn't sound particularly pain free.
