Hey all. Recently removed the alternator from my 91 Hunter to have it tested. It's charging, but upon reinstalling it, I found that I hadn't taken any reference photos or made any diagrams as to how the thing was wired before. The large red wire and white wire are easy, but I'm left with two blue connectors coming off the alternator, and an extra connector split off from the white wire. This is where I currently stand:

I'm not keen on shorting components in such an aged vehicle, so any advice is welcome. Thanks in advance.

Ah! Just what I needed!

The brown/yellow wire is the rpm feed: can someone explain how I can test if my rpm gauge is not working due to a fault in the alternator or a short somewhere along the wire to the dash?

I measured the bolt the wire connects to at the alternator and it's a constant 7 volts regardless of engine speed.
