Hey everyone who drives a P38. I recently asked Southdown why they stopped making the rear diff guard for the P38, which I take off the pavement all the time here in the US. A not very nice sales representative named David Wilkinson had this to say:

"Just in case you had not noticed you have emailed the UK not the U.S.

And no I do not warrant U.S. manufactured product!

By your own admission you have had the product for several years. If there were to be a warranty on any U.S. product, it would have been for twelve months and workmanship only by Southdown USA or Southdown Off Road.

What do you mean, "What happened to the Rear Diff Guard"?

If you look on the Atlantic British website they are probably still there and on Ebay. If you mean the U.K. website, we have never sold any in the U.K.

People do not Off Road P38's, HSE, DSE, SE here in the U.K. like they do in the states.

The whole vehicle does not lend itself to major modification or serious Off Road like a 90 or 110, therefore they are mainly road cars here.

You'll not see on of these with water up near the drivers neck!!!

I have forwarded you email to the guy's stateside and i will let you know if they have any spare hoops for sale.

And as regard to your last sentence, your lucky I am even bothering to reply to your emails at all!!

David Wilkinson,

Southdown 4x4 Products Ltd,
England."

If anyone has any pictures of their P38 off road in England, please send them to David Wilkinson to educate him. He can be reached at [email protected]

This David Wilkinson seems like a decent bloke. He's told you where to go and jump without being abusive; that's an artform that few (not including me) master.

I'd be interested to see what sentence he is referring too.

Hi Kmagnuss,
I have no problem finding the pictures on my own, I just figured that since this David person insulted all of those who actually take their P38 rigs off the pavement, that they would want to send their own pictures from themselves to David Wilkinson.
