Club member running a parts business came across an LR3 at an auction totaled by insurance, but he's offering parts to club members. Anything compatible with the RRS worth getting? Is the air compressor the same?

Compressor and most big-bucks electronic modules are the same, especially since you are comparing a LR3 with pre-2010, non-supercharged Sport. But a used compressor off a LR3 has probably been around the block a few times, so unless it is extremely cheap I'd pass... The new design AMK compressor they retrofit now seems so much better.

If only we could predict what would break?

The engine and trans are bulletproof.

I wouldn't touch a collision control arm.

Depending on the miles...if either of the diffs went unscathed anything less than $500 would be a steal.

Amen on the diffs! I paid 650 for a used front diff and 650 labor for the install (w/a 1.5 yr warranty!). Everything else I did myself cheap and usually used!
