Hey,
I was overlooking a lot of the members cars on the forums and I noticed some of them had painted the black plastic side skirts and front and rear bumper lips. Can these pieces just be taken to my body shop to be painted over or do I have to order after market?

I just had mine done when i had the Hamann front and rear valance installed. The shop i took my RRS to removed the side skirts in order to paint. Would probably save you some labor cost if you removed/reinstalled yourself after painting. Unaware of any aftermarket paint matched side skirts. Good luck.

I brought my RRS to my body shop, and was told that if I do decide to paint the plastic trims he would have to sand it down to get it smooth and there is a possibility that the paint could peel easier.

True. They sanded mine down. I had all 4 sides and the pillars done. They had my truck for about 3 days.

My dealership took it to a local paint spot down the street. You may want to check to see if there is a difference in price if you go to the indy paint spot yourself vs having the dealership do take it over there.

Mine is the Red Nupe Rover on Page 5 of hte show off your rover thread. the paint spot did an excellent job.
