Two separate topics, looking for help on either or both:
1. I cannot believe how badly the Brembo's discolor on these, I can barely even read the stencil anymore - they obviously weren't powdercoated. I've painted calipers numerous times on my older Cobra's and while I'm comfortable with the prep and painting part, I don't quite know how to deal with the Brembo decal. On my Cobra's, the 'COBRA' was raised and after spraying the whole caliper, I could easily sand off the letters to reveal a nice, natural aluminum finish which would stand out from the calipers. *My* plan is to sand the existing Brembo decal off, prep the whole caliper, paint (500 degree semi-gloss black), apply new Brembo decal then clear over everything. Anyone see any issues with this plan? Anyone have a better idea like a reverse stencil which is applied before painting, then removed after? This is a detail that I've always enjoyed doing because it's one of those things that not everyone notices but I do! Nice Range, nice wheels - should have a nice looking Brembo behind it!
2. Second question - how do I make my blower louder? I mean, I know how to make it louder (ideally an open air element) but I have not seen any reasonably priced kits anywhere. I want it to whine when I stomp on it because I'll be honest, I miss that very much from my '03 Terminator...I do not really care about performance gains, just want a little more crying from the HEaton...anything you guys have would be great (and I'd like to avoid drilling holes in the airbox!!)
I know these aren't all that common of questions but thanks in advance for your responses!
