You can use a basic obd scanner to check for the fault and then clear it. Ours came on several months ago and it turned out that the secondary air pump had failed. I used an obd scanner to clear the fault after I got a used one from Peterbrit [thanks ] and replaced it. The tool did confirm my diagnosis so definitely an asset.

Thanks diff. I thought it was a "change your oil" reminder that I could re-set by pushing the trip button, etc.

Now I understand, there really is something wrong. Interesting, I could not find anything in my workshop manual. The little owner's manual basically says it is a emissions fault, as you indicated.

I don't have a scanner, but will be in the market tomorrow. Thanks again.
