There is someone on fleebay that will wire a PU9836 head unit with an aux plug for plugging into an iPod.

Anyone got any ideas how to do this?? Would love to do it & have my iPod in my car.

Thanks in advance

The aux plug roverville did for me has never worked properly - I have sent it back and they say it's fine on their test bench but the sound is so poor in the car it's utterly intolerable - they're very nice chaps to deal with though - just never worked for me.

Hi Ash

According to the Facebook link, it looks quite straight forward, as long as you can select the CD function without a CD multi-changer being installed.
Some head units can 'see' if the multi-changer is there or not and may not give you the option to select it.

You will need a panel mount stereo 3.5mm jack socket:
Auto part Cylinder Tool accessory Bicycle hub

and this pinout:

Connections as follows:
Use 2 core screened cable
Pin 6 soldered to the casing
Pin 7 to the RIGHT input on the jack
Pin 8 to the LEFT input on the jack
