Recently purchaesd 4.6 p38, with lpg. Despite a fault with the lpg (unknown at the moment), has been run on petrol as normal. Having collected the car which has been run run for over 2 weeks, started fine, ran for 20, minutes on tick over, then drove under load for drove 4 miles, and engine lost power and revs with possible lack of fuel. No leaks. However, when break down services got me home, I started to have a look i can hear fuel pump running, and will start and run fine for around 5-10 seconds and then dies. What would be the first things to check and test. P38 has covered 204,000 miles but has a good service histroy, but no sign of any fuel pump replacement. However, i do have good pressure at fuel rail, and can let pressure off and will always re-start for again 5-6 seconds. I am uk based. Any help, thank you
