2000 4.6 HSE w/ 82500 miles. Just threw those two codes. There is no loss of power or funny shifting. I recently got this truck and the MAF appears to be new, ie. no gunk built up on it anywhere. Are these 2 codes by themselves indicative of the MAF failure, or O2 sensors, or just a leak somewhere?
Thanks

Does that MAF look OEM or aftermarket? I know the non-Bosch one's seem to be very problematic....based on the number of posts I've seen it commented on.
When I got those codes, I had neglected to oil my K&N air filter. MAF was fine, like yours, and truck ran perfect, like yours, but I guess the MAF sensed dirty air coming through. Cleaned & oiled my filter and codes gone. What type filter do you have? Possibly renew or clean it.

It looks just like the one here:http://www.roverparts.com/product/img/Icn/mhk100800g.jpg

Today I changed the air filter and the one that was in there had Made in China stamped on it and fitted very loosely in the box, in addition to being dirty on both sides. The new one from BP fits very tightly so we'll see if that makes any difference. Will the light reset itself if that was the problem or should I just go ahead and clear the codes and see if they come back?
Thanks
i had to clear the codes, but then they never came back.
Best to clear the codes and then check to see if they come back that way you will know if you have solved the problem.
