Hi all,

I have a 2006 Range Rover Sport 4.2 V8.

The check engine light is on and giving P0171 (System too lean bank 1) & P0173 (Fuel trim malfunction bank 2).

I have cleaned the MAF sensor but this has not changed anything.

Has anybody else experienced this and have any advice?

Thanks in advance.

When I had this issue, infrequently, on my 08 RRS/SC, I usually ran a can of good fuel system cleaner (Gumout's best, Lucas, SeaFoam, or BK44).

Might also check the piping from the MAF sensor to the throttle body for air leaks.
