I replaced my air filters and for some unknown reason it's reading the outside temp as -40F, when it's actually 80F. It slowly started to creep up to 40F, but that was after 2 hours. Is it a coincidence that the ambient air temperature sensor went bad as soon as I replaced the air filters or did I do something wrong?

-40 was the default temp for a bad or unplugged sensor in earlier models, probably still is.
Check for an unplugged wire.
