unfortunately this site cannot handle high res pics. the car is 5+2 Barolo Black/Pimento with Indus roof. 22" wheels are on the way and I will post pics once they are on. pimento is a gorgeous color that matches the car well. it has a French reddish hue to it, kind of like the color of the lamp shades in many French restaurants (dare I say boudoirs?- in a good way). all photos were chosen because they make the colors look exactly as if you were there. the interior color changes depending on where you are when you look at it (like the outside). from the inside with the doors closed it is darker. from the outside the red interior looks like it is glowing from within. the car has the optional dark headliner and piano wood. very sporty and elegant. the Barolo is a wicked color to photograph. it is basically equivalent to Audi's optional crystal effect color options. morphs between a black deeper than santorini's to a deep red "Barolo wine" color in the sunlight. up close it has a sparkly red/brown/and slightly gold shine.

have had the car 2 days. took 5 months to get from order date. had 2008 sc sport and 2010 sc sport before this. quick points that matter-----

tv and front screen are 50% higher def than the 2010

can now use nav while car moving

i didn't think another car maker could hit Audi levels of design and quality (except Bentley and Rolls Royce). LR did it with this car. (I have an R8 V10 and S4 currently). I almost want to daily drive this car more than the S4.

handles extremely well- night and day more confident in this car vs the '10.

no rattles or complaints so far.

still haven't had time to play with the a/v tech video stuff

cameras are one inferior point vs my other cars but acceptable- I guess- but imo not for a 100K car. but they are adequate.

sound system very good (mid level one- we have)

start stop NOT BAD AT ALL. I track my other cars and am extremely sensitive to car behavior. I've not noticed it at all. very happy about this.

----------------huge thanks to chewbakandy for his post on the tech stuff an thanks to all of you who post and contribute to the forum. my salesguy has noticed a change in the buyers coming in. much younger, well informed, and less passive consumers. I was there when audi had its renaissance. I will be one of those who was here to contribute to and co-witness land rover's. more to come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

- have the oem umbrella holder, cf plate frame, cargo area waterproof cover, black/white valve stem caps, "sport" aluminium lower treadplates- and the optional forged 22 wheels en route. if anyone is looking for an extra set of 21 wheels in the unique standard Autobiography style no less let me know. I am going to sell them. i am also considering the custom lit main treadplates.

THIS CAR IS AWESOME

That's my interior color. Did you get it in two tone or just pimento? I can't tell from the pics. Please post at least one whole seat. I love it!!!

Beautiful!!

Congrats!!

I see quite a few Audi owners coming over. You're very correct in the Audi renaissance and now the beginning of the JLR.

I think the RRS (not the FFRR) and the F-Type is what's going to bring in the younger demo of buyers. Old money will always be old money and will always be there. It's attracting the new money that's going to help them move some numbers and gain traction for market share.

Like my many post in the past, I didn't even consider JLR the last time I was shopping, but once I saw the intro of the '14 RRS in NY, I went to the dealer and order one the very next week.

I'm not quite as lucky to own the R8, but when I got the Q7, I always thought Audi does the best interiors. I also agree with you about how the interior is just as good if not better (can't say the same for the tech, which is a shame). Wife now drives the Sport, and I'm regulated to the Q7 as my daily, I missed the RRS everytime I get into the Q7. Funny how that changes, for the past 4 years, it was my favorite interior (even over the Cayenne), and now it's so boring. LOL!!

Nice photos. Makes me want to go out and do a photoshoot on mine before dings and scratches are being collected.

funny about old money. very true. dealer says 20 and 30 somethings are flooding in. about 10 yrs younger than the previous sport. ironically the evoque is hot with 50 somethings. younger people want the sport. the snootieness is going to be diluted for sure. thought about the new Q7 myself but Audi's delay on he redesign has cost it. should be out in Geneva or Paris this year. I expect LR will majorly update the tech on the sport in a couple of years - including all LED headlights......

Excellent color choices and a great informative post. Congratulations. I concur, everyone that has posted information about the RRS on this site has been a great help to me also. This will be my first RRS and all of the shared experiences and info is much appreciated.
