I got an InControl OTA software update pop-up notification in the upper screen tonight of my 2019.5 RRS ATB while driving home from work. I clicked the 'Update Now" button, and a file was downloaded to the vehicle (little download icon appeared in the upper right corner of the upper screen). When I got home and parked there was a message in the software update screen that the software would be updated after the vehicle was shut off. I shut off the RRS and went inside for a little while. I went back out after dinner and re-started it - I got a (brief) message that the software updated successfully and a new version number. I believe that I have 19A4 now (I had 19A2 previously).

what year vehicle is this for? will we all have to update ? I just got a 16RRSA
2019.5 RRS ATB. Was on 19A2 previously. I have no idea if 2016 vehicles can or will get updated.

From the picture, looks like CNN is not quite the place to go for the Top News .
I wish there was a way to just "close" that portion of the screen - it's useless.

Did you have to take it to the dealership first for them to enable OTA updates? Or did it just automatically start doing it for you?

The dealer upgraded the software to 19A2 a couple of months ago while it was there to rectify a few problems that were there on delivery. I asked for the upgrade due to a couple of black screen situations that occurred in the first month of ownership. 19A2 was the version that activated OTA updates.

19A4 seems snappier than the previous version. The rearview camera activates almost immediately upon selecting the reverse gear - there's no activation delay like there was previously, though the delay of the camera feed to the screen is still there.

Thank you. How do I find out what version I have currently installed?

Never mind, I figured out how to check. I must have had 19A2 installed, because I was able to turn on the software updates thingy. However, when I hit the check for updates button, it said no updates were available. Guess I’ll just have to wait.

I had the same thing happen in my '19 RR. I haven't been in it since it updated though.

Why not confirm exactly the version you're running? It's listed on that same screen:

19A – 2019-02-27 – S19A_19.07.2-312706
19A2 – 2019-04-18 – S19A_19.11.4-330884
19A3 – 2019-06-17 – S19A_19.20.4-363281

It’s A2. So I’m wondering why it keeps saying software up to date...

Because it's likely a staged rollout, to make sure there are no critical bugs, and they haven't gotten to your vehicle yet.

would be great to also list the release update notes so we know what fixes/updates are being implemented.
