Hi,
My M62 4.4 Petrol engine is leaking oil badly and getting worse. The valve cover gaskets have been replaced and the PCV in the back as well. They are dry. Somehow I can not locate the culprit but I don't dare driving it any longer. Afraid I will ruin the engine. Maybe there is a blockage somewhere and the pressure is to high? How can I check. There is no oil pressure valve. Will there be a light in the case of oil pressure malfunction. In other words I am open for advise on how to assess/ solve / eliminate this issue. Thanks!

The half moons on the rear of the valve covers can leak badly if a good amount of RTV is not used..

How much oil is leaking out?

Clean the whole engine and add dye to the oil, monitor the engine at all corners closely from top and bottom views..

it could be the oil filter housing O ring,
their was a series of O rings that were too small and included with the new oil filters,
its pretty easy to see this.
Might go to the dealer and buy a new oil filter it will come with the correct O ring for the cap
