I noticed a small oil patch on the floor this morning.
Seems to be coming from between the rear wheels. Had a quick look and it looks like there may be a nut missing ?

No lights on yet....

Any help appreciated on identification

is it just a case of getting a new nut ?

Thanks in advance

Re: Oil leak - any help appreciated

You don't need a new plug you need to tighten the plug you have. Seems very odd that would be hanging out that far. Looks like it already has sealing compound on it. The square is a standard socket handle.

Might just be the photo, but it looks a bit crooked? Could it be that after the last oil change(if you have had one that is), whoever did it seized the threads while entering the plug? That could be why it is out so far?
A new plug or trying to tighten it might not help?
Just a thought...

Jeez, it does look like a thread is askew. However if it is back between the rear wheels it wouldn;t have been a simple oil change.
