I appear to have an oil leak at the bottom of the dipstick tube where it enters the sump now i can see that the tube can be unbolted at the top so is it just a case of unbolt it pull it out and replace a seal or is it a lot more complicated than that?

The cars a 1998 p38 2.5dse with the bmw engine!

On a V8 it's as simple as that un-bolt and pull it out, would imagine the Diesel is the same principle.

The "O" ring Seal Part No. for the Diesel is STC2185.
