Hi Everyone.
New member on here and therefore first post.
A few days ago i found oil on the floor under the rr. I think its from around the gearbox or is infact poss from the gearbox,
i have no idea myself as im a sparky not mechanic. but took some photos to help any of you guys that might be able to give me some guideance on this .

i have the same. for me its the valve cover gaskets. haven't gotten around to changing them out yet, but i hear its not too hard.

Been out to the rr and on more investigation found that the oil seems to be leaking from opposite the rubber grummet in the bottom picture.
theres a shim with two bolts either side and the oil is leaking from under this shim.

I removed the rubber grummet in picture from bell housing first and this is dry as a bone this was so i could eliminate any torque seal issues.
The million dollor question now is how do i go about stopping the leak and what is involved.
Any advice would be appreciated,

Mine also looked as if this area was leaking, but as the post above said, it was the valve cover gaskets, . . . really. Be sure to look at that and repair before you start digging around somewhere else.
