I am preparing the change oil this weekend and was reviewing Topix to make sure that I have the correct amount of oil. Topix recommends 8.0L or 14 pints for a V8 petrol motor. Problem is that 14 pints is 6.62 liters. 8 liters is nearly 17 pints. The last time I changed the oil, I used 8 liters and had to remove some because I over-filled. I had assumed that I had not vacuum extracted enough of the old oil. Now I am wondering if there is a mistake in the manual.

Does anyone else know if the refill should be 6.6 liters or 8 liters?

Thanks.

Figured it out. I must have had brain freeze. The manual is referring to 14 imperial pints (not US pints). The correct volume should be 8 liters or 14 imperial pints or 16.8 US liquid pints.

I just did mine last week and put 8.5L in and the gauge reads perfectly. I am thinking anywhere between 8L and 8.5L you will be all good.
