Offroading, AZ style

So PJPR made his annual winter pilgrimage to AZ for some R&R this week. In celebration of all that is manly, we decided to head out into the desert to exercise both the Rover and the 2nd Amendment. The only way to improve upon the scenario would have been a cooler of PBR, but alas, it was forgotten. Regardless, what better way to kick off Superbowl Sunday?!

          I would have done more but I'm only allowed to do 10 smilies. Looks like you had fun!
Nice! I like the cartridge ejection shots. Its good to see you showed some restraint and didn't bring the belt fed automatic weapons this time. :D
And God bless AZ, because except in Newark, this would get you 3-5 w good behavior in NJ.

Minus the ear protection, this looks like some sort of movie (comedy...). Sweet though, looks like you guys had fun. I'm not sure I've seen access mode with mud caked LTZs. :thumb:

I'm guessing he did it to reduce the normal 4mm of clearance to 1.38mm to keep the inside of the tires nice and clean. :D
No girlfriends / wives? (What were you shooting at, anyway... ) There's nothing sexier than a woman firing a handgun.

We had insurgent cacti attacking from all angles - that was a stressful moment but we were able to fend them off and escape unscathed.
`) `) Too funny!

Although we didn't have our special edition Holland & Holland or Purdy's, we did have a good time fending off the attacking tumbleweeds!

:naughty:

Maybe for next year's trip ... (I wasn't aware of the free booze for a year thing. I know some guys who could make the added cost of this H&H special edition work.)

You guys need to come play in our tactical course, put that MP5 to good use. We have a full scale town, a crashed F4 (for practicing pilot extraction while under fire, we just dont have a bird), and my favorite is the model Taliban camp with a tunel network. We have to go on weekends though, the Rangers and Spec Opp guys use it on weekdays (hate to be on the recieving end of their missions).

Leo, you may have found a solution to our Gitmo problem. :thumb:

I'm gonna pitch this as an idea for a new reality show to a friend of mine who is a producer at Fox. Here's what I'm thinking...get maybe 10 Gitmo detainees a week and arm them, and then have a different group of equally armed civilians and let them have a go at each other at your place. They'd have to sign release forms and all that.

Week 1: Florida ********
Week 2: NJ mobsters
Week 3: Wall Street bankers
Week 4: Dentists & periodontists
Week 5: The Pelosi family
Week 6+: Open to suggestions

Week 6 - Palin Family. Stick on some antlers and have Sarah Palin fly above you in a helicopter, taking aim, while you run and hide for cover.

She can take aim at Putin too, when his head pops up above the horizon
Ok bringing this to life, do you have any more pics of the Range?
Also, the stormers are a 9 or 9.5 wide wheel. I want to mount these tires on the Supercharged 20's which arent as wide. What effect will this have?
Forgot about this thread! I like the reality show pitch, sign me up!

There are surely other pics of my truck on here. Maybe you can search my username? :)

Dunno my factory wheel width... but I bet you'll be fine with the 9" wheels. Discount/America's Tire will do a free test fit so you can find out if everything fits w/o risk.
Drev's I believe these are similar Stormers I put on as well which are 20x9.5

littlehandegan - I have have them too. There are no issues as far as I know, just more road noise. Only thing was I needed to get the dealer to have the balance done right. Discount tire, even with the road force could not get it right.

These tires give the RRS a much beefier look

Happened to look earlier today and mine are 9.5", FWIW.
