OEM radio knob not working.

The day I brought my 07 Range Rover Sport home, the dial/knob circled in red on the right stopped working out of the blue. The knob freely turns left/right, doesn't feel loose or like anything is stripped out, it just doesn't do anything any more.

I believe it's to manually change the radio station (rather than using the arrow push in buttons). My bass is stuck on it's loudest setting and I can't turn it down without the use of the knob so my music has unbearably loud bass.

Has anyone encountered this issue before, and if so, how was it fixed?*

I've already located multiple cheaper used OEM radios in the $200-400 range, so if that's the easiest method I'll go that route.

Thanks!*

Just checked mine. That knob seems to only be for reading the menu and entering your preferences. Bass is adjusted by pushing info beside the other knob to Bass and then adjust with the same knob.

Thanks for the info, you're correct and I got my bass down! I do have issues with the volume knob not always working, where I'll turn it 2 full rotations to get the music to go from 15 to 10. I've just used the steering wheel controls for that, so perhaps it was just having a touchy moment when I initially tried to lower the bass..

However, unfortunately, if I press the Menu button near that knob then try to use the right knob, nothing happens.

Looks like I just might have finicky switches, which I can live with now that my bass is down :)
