ELM327 has a bluetooth option. It's the hardware side of the equation. Then you choose whichever app you like. However, it extremely limited when compared with dedicated diagnostic gear. You'll get generic engine codes and live data but you will not have access to any subsystems.
Has anyone found a good OBD reader for LR? I have this one from Amazon for $22 Bafx Products - Wireless Bluetooth OBD2 / OBDII Diagnostic Car Scanner & Reader Tool
It works. But it's fairly primitive. It gives basic info, but no LR specifics.
I saw people mentioned this one: iCarSoft for Rover/Jaguar i930 for $114 on amazon
The iCarsoft i930 is a very useful tool. It covers all OBD compliant Land Rovers and few of the older ones as well. It is unable to change any settings but will read and clear all Land Rover fault codes on all ECU's plus can read live data.
I have numerous dedicated Land Rover diagnostic tools and this is the one I use the most due to its simplicity and portability.
