Hi guys, I have an 04 rover that seems to be having an issue in connecting with my all comms. When i plug in my icarsoft handheld scanner it will read all the ecu's however with the all comms i can only connect to the engine and transmission ecu. All the others wont connect. what do you think the reasoning behind this can be? do the scanner and the software i have connect to different buses? thanks

Dunno what toad hall would say but I think this belongs in diagnostics.

You problem is the 'scanner ' you are using.
Allmakes sent me one when they started selling them, I took a lot of photos comparing this Chinese thingy to the Hawkeye and a professional diagnostics called Faultmate.

My verdict was.. absolutely useless and I wouldn't sell it ever.
It is not only lacking most of the functionality of the 250 quid Hawkeye, it actually did not see some pretty serious faults.

Send it well packed back and save for something half decent. Plenty of solutions in the diagnostics section
