Hi...

Long time lurker but first time poster.

I've got a MY2006 and I got its service done today at a local shop. The oil that goes in the suspension sway things.. is it some special oil? steering fluid or DOT4 ?

Also, i was playing the trip reset button and i noticed something.. if I keep the button pressed and turn the ignition off, it shows me an interesting display.

there's an R and something that looks like a date. If I release the trip button, the display disappears. I tried pressing buttons here and there but I wasn't able to change anything. Perhaps you guys have a better clue about it.

I've got an MY06 too.. The fluid in the Dynamic Response System resevoir is the same fluid LR uses for power steering. You can buy the OEM fluid online for cheaper than the (my) dealer's parts dept. I guess since it is just power steering fluid it should not be a big deal using a generic PSF.. But since I have a warranty, I'm not gonna give them any opportunity to tell them that I am responsible if it craps out.

I recall that the 06 cars cannot have their service indicators reset withought the diagnostics computer plugged in.
