Symptoms. Drove to the pub fine.
Would not start on leaving the pub. Nothing unusual in the message centre.
NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT.
Now I've been here before : http://www.rangerovers.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=14034&hilit=start
Conventional wisdom is that the BECM and GEMS ecu have become de-synced and the car needs testbook.
NOT THIS TIME.
Called the AA for a tow, and the chap (very friendly but not much specific Range Rover knowledge) insisted in checking some bits, including pulling and inserting relays including the engine management relay.
One of the pins looked a bit "warm", and once reinserted, CEL popped up and away she went.
MORAL No Check Engine Light, No start? Check the engine management relay befor paying for a test biik session. Not guanteed to work in every instance, but cost nothing and take sseconds.
